Maasai Community Action for Innovative Development
An official Kenyan non-profit Public Benefit Organization dedicated to empowering pastoralist communities across 5 key counties through education, health awareness, human rights, and sustainable innovation.
Driven by Pastoralist Participation & Human Dignity
MAASAI COMMUNITY ACTION FOR INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT (MAAC AID) was established to bridge the gap between indigenous pastoralist heritage and sustainable socio-economic development. Operating primarily in Kenya's semi-arid rangelands, MAAC AID focuses on grassroots participation where community members define their own priorities.
We believe that true empowerment occurs when communities are provided with knowledge, capacity-building tools, legal rights awareness, and institutional support without sacrificing their cultural identity.

Our Mission
To empower pastoralist and indigenous communities in Kenya through innovative, inclusive development programs in education, health awareness, human rights advocacy, women and youth empowerment, and climate action while preserving cultural identity and dignity.
Our Vision
A resilient, self-sustaining, and dignified pastoralist society where women, youth, and men actively lead sustainable development, exercise their constitutional rights, and thrive in harmony with their environment.
